CALAMAR CREW - WE RISE BY LIFTING OTHERS ALBUM

The album represents a strong friendship between the artists and their common passion for music. It's uniqueness lies in the number of artists involved in it; 6 artists for 11 tracks with an active blend of creativity. A fusion between melodic House, with an Indie touch and ethnic percussions. The album allows each artist to fully express themselves, whilst keeping to a common middle ground throughout the songs.

Black Coffee, Blondish, Da Mike and Pablo Fierro, are just a few of the incredible artists to have shown their support by playing our tracks.

Calamar Records is based in Hong Kong, a city that echoes with our lifestyle, music, and urban environment. Those are the main reasons why we chose this city to develop this label. We want to convey our creativity through places we love.

DEMAYÄ - JUSTIFY MY LOVE

Our kid Demayä is coming back stronger than ever, after collaborating with Moojo on 3 releases on Calamar, we are proud to release his first solo track.

He suprised us with a unexpected breakbeat track sampled from the infinite tune Justify My Love by Madonna & Lenny Kravitz.

This 90 's vibe mixed with Demayä's magic is simply so groovy and sexy, a nice journey to his universe and it's just the beginning of a long story.

COVER OFFICIEL EP NIGHTS.jpg

MARGEE - NIGHTS EP

Hey Squids,

Super proud to welcome the first EP of Margee on Calamar Records and also our first one on the label to start off 2021 on the good foot ;)

Nights is a moving voyage to one side of Margee's universe. Usually known for his slower grooves, Margee decides to shake us up and shows in Nights a darker yet energetic part of his musical world. This EP is an ode to the night scene and to the freeing dancefloors we've been taken away from, in hope that they will soon return back to us.
2 beautiful original tracks show us the complicated perfection of Margee's groove. On 'Nights' and 'Tunnel Ride' you can feel that he is a true musician at heart. We're going from deep house to indie with some touches of synth wave, always pleasant to the ears. The travel is sweet, as Margee himself, and a haven of experimentation in many genres he loves to dig into.

We also have 2 really cool remixes from the neat producer Vander and his indie breakbeat version of 'Nights', and an other remix from Moo & Jo and Demayä of 'Tunnel Ride' with some stunning vocals by the young and talented KLA.
